Paripé Books is an independent publishing house based in Madrid and Buenos Aires. Its name comes from the Spanish expression "hacer el paripé," which means to pretend or feign.
We believe few words better define the present. Today, more than ever, emotions are feigned, lifestyles are simulated, and poses and possessions are displayed. Faced with this culture of facade, our proposal is clear: to respond with books that invite thought, that challenge superficiality, that open spaces for reflection and questioning. Books that reveal that another world is still possible, one yet to be explored.
Our perspective draws on the past, but is built from the present. We seek dialogue, research, and genuine expression.
We want to do it through our publications and, above all, together with the artists and writers that make up the Paripé Family.

"The writer’s function is not so much to solve problems as to pose them correctly."
